- Ch Stradivarius
Renaissance (Imp Can)
1990-2000
His record of producing Show Champions alone
makes him the current Number One GSP Sire in
this country. His fabulous pedigree gave the
breed short firm backs, dark eyes, and proud
self-carriage and movement. Many of his progeny
and grand progeny are a testament to his line
with strong natural hunting biddablilty many
generations on. At his first show just 6 weeks
out of quarantine, Dr Albert Lemmer, German
Breed Warden graded him as Excellent and Runner
Up In Show.
Arriving in Australia in 1991,Reuben proved to
be one of the most influential sires this
country has ever seen. From a remarkably low
number of just 14 matings his progeny amassed
more than 40 titles including 31 Championship
Show titles, among which are 13 Group 1st
winners, All Breeds and Specialty Best In Show
winners, a Retrieving Champion, a Dual
(Obedience & Show) Champion and many Obedience,
Tracking and Retrieving titles.
He had an amazing personality, and focussed his
whole attention at home only on those he loved,
loftily ignoring most of his kennel mates and
indeed most people who came to see him, politely
allowing them to scratch his ears but far more
interested in gazing into the eyes of his human
family. He left us far too soon, after a very
short illness, and years later it is still seems
something is missing here at Valache without
him. We are indeed grateful that we have many of
his Champion sons and daughters to carry on his
legacy.
Reuben was imported in partnership with our
friends from Sevoier and Durers Kennels.

Ziggy’s favorite son Tristan, who notched up
well in excess of 1000 cc points and won 25
point challenges in four states of Australia at
major Championship Shows. Winner of All Breeds
Specialty and Gundog Best In Shows, Royal Best
of Breeds and 20 Group Firsts. He was the
ultimate showman, easy to handle and eager to
please.
His memory lives on in the many winners from
many prefixes that bear his name in their
pedigrees, with his style and type easily
recognizable and acknowledged by students of the
breed. We are very pleased to have that type
through the bloodline of our new puppy Durers
Sigismund.
Tristan was co-owned with Shannon Perkins of
Sevoier Kennels and always handled by Anne.

Always a special place in our hearts for our
first homebred champion.
Ziggy was a Multi Group 1st and Royal Best of
Breed winner as well as South Australia’s No 1
Retrieving GSP for several years. Well known for
his outstanding personality and temperament
everyone who met him wanted a GSP. Sire of 10
Show Champions, his beautiful face looks at us
from the faces of his great grand children here
at Valache.

The elegance and outstanding breed type of the
beautiful Elle was consistently rewarded by her
great wins and her ability to pass these
characteristics to her progeny and grand progeny
is clearly evident. Best of Breed at Sydney
Royal and Reserve Bitch cc at the National under
Herr Claus Keiffer (Germany).
