Our first German Shorthaired Pointer joined our family in 1978 and the Valache prefix was founded upon the arrival of our first litter in 1982. They are an amazing breed and fit in with whatever lifestyle you lead..... lounge lizards or jogging buddies! We can never imagine being without them.
Two beautiful Dobermans also reside at Valache, and the black and tan team are highly successful, with a new young star from Argentina about to join us soon! Backbone Freddy Mercury is bred to win and we are very excited about his arrival into Australia.
Our kennel is very much a family passion and everyone contributes along the way.... Garth continues to support us when speedway permits, Sheila is a superb puppy sitter and keeps the gardens looking fantastic, Ben is always there when we need him, as well as being co owner of the fabulous Axel... and of course Kate and Anne are completely involved in everything GSP! They both served on the GSP Club of SA Committee for a number of years, with Anne serving as elected President for five years, and Sheila also enjoyed being part of the working committee. Time to move onto other canine activities noe that the SA National is over, including Anne finishing her other Group licences.
Anne is currently licensed for Toys, Terriers, Hounds, Gundogs and the Utilitybreeds and enjoys judging all of these groups. She has judged in the UK twice, France, New Zealand, and had a fantastic entry of beautiful dogs in Mexico City in August 2011. It is always an honour to be invited to judge your own breed overseas and interstate, and Anne has been very appreciative of the fantastic entries received during her appointments.
Kate's other passion is her equine pursuits, and with Anne as chief strapper,she has a team of exciting dressage youngsters that keep us occupied on the Summer weekends. You can visit Valache Dressage at www.valachedressage.weebly.com
