Our other great passion is our horses.

Friends Malcolm & Linda Pritchard agisted their Quarter Horses on the back 8 acres. Along with the big boys came a little black Welsh Cross called Doodlebug, complete with saddle and bridle. Malcolm encouraged Kate to ride him and after a couple of turns around on the end of a dog lead she announced that she would be ok now thanks…!

The following few years saw us walking down to the local Pony Club, first hiring then buying a float then looking for a bigger pony, then moving onto a horse. A little under ten years later we have four horses on the property, with Kate’s pony Apollo currently leased to a local youngster Sophie Thompson, who is having great fun winning in Pony Club Eventing.

We spend a lot of time together at competitions now, mainly

Show jumping and Dressage, with the occasional return to an Event

just for fun and to tune up the show jumpers in the off season.
